A few things....

T-3 days and counting until we leave!!!

....But we actually leave our house tomorrow to head down and visit with family and have a party for Dylan, my niece Tryna and brother in law Robb.

Packing, packing and more packing....but I am done(ish) I will probably slip in a ton of items I forgot  to pack....

One more thing, I don't think I ever mentioned that the kids, Mary Ellen and Ryan are only staying 2 weeks. Then it is just me and Lucy! And...to be completely honest, I can not think about that part of the trip, it makes me cry just thinking about it!  People hear about the fact that I have to stay in Colombia for around 4+ ? weeks alone and they say "Oh my, I could never do that..."  Can I just say...I DON'T WANT TO!  Hello?  I am a people person, I mean really, I have this many kids for a reason you know.  I love having my people around me!  I have never left them for more than a week.  This is such a complete and utter stretch that IF I did not know that I have everything I need right inside of me because of Christ's Life living IN me, then I know FOR SURE, I would break!  Seriously, as it is I really do not like to even think about it, but, I KNOW, that GOD CAN and WILL help me through THIS, so...I AM GOING TO LET HIM!

Please pray for us as we embark on this part of the journey.  I will post as often as possible depending on our internet connection!

That would be so hard to not be with your family! I couldn't even imagine! You are one strong/brave woman in so many ways! I will pray that the time you will have with just Lucy will be so wonderful and a great bonding time with mom and daughter! Hopefully we will get to meet her soon if you guys are in town! hugs

Safe travels, Vander Zwaag family!! We are so excited for you to meet Luisa.

Stacy, our time in Bogota may overlap with yours (our presentation day is next Thursday in Medellin), and maybe our families can connect there. I can't predict what state of chaos our family may be in...but we'd love to meet you and Luisa if it works out. :) In the mean time, know that our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you!

Have a safe and blessed trip! We will be watching your blog DAILY for any and all updates! Try and think about all the amazing time you will have to bond with Luisa, just the two of you, no distraction, no interuptions, just mama and daughter time that will be precious when you look back on it and are here in the US being tugged in every which direction. God Bless and don't forget your thumb drive!

We've never met, I got your blog off of Mission 1:27! We have 4 Colombian born children, and have been in Colombia for a total of 23 weeks/ 3 adoptions! Colombia is amazing and so are the people! If you need ideas for things to do feel free to email me at kristivandermaas@sbcglobal.net I know the journey may be long at times, but, I hope you are able to enjoy it. When you return home there are going to be days you long to be there! God's best as you add your new daughter to you family!!
