Church and Pizza!

All of the men gathered to say nice things to the ladies.

Ismael explaining the service to Jayden.

This morning we went back to the church we went to a couple weeks ago. We found a taxi {that is a joke, they are EVERYWHERE!} more importantly I had a paper with the church address on it and asked to go there, and he took us right to it! They were just starting so we found our friend Shirley and sat down. It was a celebration of the woman today, and the men got up and said nice things about their ladies, as far as I could tell, and they gave each woman a pin, and we all had cake, and apple pop! They had a band there which consisted of a father and his 3 kids. The father is the best bass player in town ~ says Ismael! They were having a great time together, and it was fun to be there. Here is a super short little video I took during the fiesta!{sorry, the quality is not that great!}

After church we went walking toward a main street so we could catch a taxi, and we spotted a Zirus Pizza place.  I was so excited!  The food here has been making me weary, so last night, I looked up a few "must try" restaurants here in Bucaramanga, and Zirus Pizza was on the list.  I have been wanting pizza since we left the US{I always want pizza}and one night Ryan tried to get some, however it had mushrooms and chicken and no tomato sauce, needless to say, I still wanted a regular old pizza!  So we went out for lunch and had pizza, it wasn't the best ever, but it tasted good for once!  Thanks Lord for that blessing today!

  We then flagged down a taxi and he was a CRAZY driver, most have been good, but this guy was flying!  Yikes!  But, we made it home safe and sound, so all is well.
It is hard to believe we have been here a week by ourselves and 3 weeks in Colombia total.  How many more weeks will we be here?  Good question!  We are hanging in there and are super thankful for Skype, our amazing translator and guide, and of course above all God who gives us strength to face each day!  Not going to lie, before we moved I was a wreck,{fear of the unknown I guess?} and cried out to God to get me through, and from the moment we walked in the door of the new apartment, I have felt complete and utter peace!  Now if only I could do something about that brick bed I am sleeping on!

Isaiah 40:28-31

 28 Do you not know?

   Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
   the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
   and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
   and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
   and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
   will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
   they will run and not grow weary,
   they will walk and not be faint.

Thanks for your comments, they really do help brighten our days!
