Stacy's story...

-->

For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a Mom.  It used to drive my guidance counselor nuts!  I am so thankful to be living my dream!

I stay at home with the kids and I home school them, {for now,} we take it one day at a time!  While we want our children to have a great education, our main priorities are that they would be respectful, kind, honest, diligent, and most importantly, love the Lord.

People often ask how I handle it all, and to be honest I don't really know how to answer that, I guess it is just by the grace of God!  I love spending time with the kids and we do life together.  Our days are normal to me, we wake up, have breakfast,  we get dressed and ready, the boys start in on school while I get the little ones ready.  The younger ones play while I work with the older ones.  I do quite a bit of multi-tasking I suppose, answering questions, reading books, wiping snotty noses, settling disputes, kissing owies, doing math, giving spelling tests, making lunch, doing laundry...we interact with each other all day and I love it, (most of the time!)

 I know some people are overwhelmed with one or two kids, but I know God created me to do this and he enables me to do it as well.   I am so thankful for the opportunity.  I am by no means perfect nor are all of our days wonderful.  But, at the end of the day there is nowhere else I 'd rather be!

I became interested in adoption as a teen through a family at our church that adopted a little boy from Africa.  That, and watching TV shows about orphans in other countries,  I knew someday I wanted to adopt too!
I love having daughters, I am a girly girl and I am enjoying doing hair, painting nails, and picking out girl clothes!

~ I am the oldest of 3 girls
~ I love to shop, even if I don't spend a dime{seriously!}
~ I love coffee, going out to eat & spending time with my family and friends

I was raised in a Christian family, and accepted Christ as my savior at a young age.  As I grew up in church I also grew in my faith and knowledge of the Lord.  I thank God for His guidance and protection over my life, especially through those teen years.  But, it was not until a few years ago that I gave God total control over ALL of my life.  When Ryan quit his job, went through seminary, and entered into full time ministry, I learned what it meant to truly follow His path and not my own!  I have grown so much through our move into full time ministry, and through the adoption of our daughters.  We are so grateful for those experiences, and the ways he provided for us.  I continue to learn more and grow deeper in love with Jesus and want to live for Him each and every day.  He has shown Himself to be so faithful and I am blessed beyond measure to be a child of the King!

Ryan about Stacy
From the day I met Stacy I knew she would make an incredible wife and mother.  She has always wanted a large family.  God has given her a heart that is so deep for each one of our children.  A child could not have a greater mother and I could not have a better wife.
