stressful...

I know why I don't enjoy sports; it is way too stressful when you care! I can watch any sport and care less who or what is going on, but when you put MY kid in the mix...it makes a world of difference! This was what the score board looked like at the final 5 seconds of overtime! We ended up loosing, but it was a 'good' game. I can't imagine what I will be like when they are in high school...Yikes!

Here are a couple pictures from a game earlier this year. My camera doesn't do well with movement, distance, and it isn't great with indoor lighting either...anyway, it is Dylan in action!

snowball fight....

It was Dylan and Jayden against Easton, Spencer and Daddy!

The battle was intense..but in the end Daddy, Spencer and Easton won 2 to 1!

Anaya liked throwing snowballs too...
She cracked up laughing everytime she threw one!
But she didn't like having them thrown at her!

Easton says "bring it on Nay Nay!"
(I love her teeny tiny snowball!!)
*funny thing happend on the way to preaching yesterday...Ryan had to preach in a "neighboring" town, and I thought he left mighty early...well, turns out they "just happened to stop by the bow shop" on the way...and lo and behold, Dylan came home with a new bow!!!
Funny how these things happen when mommy doesn't come with...although in Ryan's defense, I did get a phone call explaining the "great deal" prior to the purchase!
(I was home with the 3 little coughing kids!)
So, they had to practice shooting tonight, after all, bow season is only 8 months away!!!
Take a look at this action shot!

A little low Spencer! But, at least you hit the box!

Eastons latest funnies...

Ryan tried to correct Easton when they were flipping coins. Turns out, Easton was right. He kept saying "heads or trees?" Ryan kept telling him "no, it is heads or tails." Finally Easton said, "yes it is, see?"

We were going to see some friends, and we started asking the boys if they remembered going to their old house. We remembered that Dylan was probably the only one born at that time so the rest wouldn't remember. Easton piped up and asked, "was I born then?" "No," we answered. Then, he said, "Was I dead?" Oh my, we laughed so hard! "No, you weren't dead, you just weren't born yet, you weren't anywhere, only God knew you were going to be born one day..."

Pictures from our anniversary weekend...

Ryan and I had a great weekend in Chicago. It was great to catch up with some old friends! Thanks Chris and Kadie, for being such a huge blessing, we enjoyed our time spent with you! I wish we lived closer.

We were also able to meet up with (my sister) Jen, Eric and Olivia! It was so good to see them, but Olivia was not about to let me hold her...um, that is unacceptable! At home, I just take her, whether she likes it or not, she settles down eventually! But, we were in public, so I had to restrain myself, it was awful! She was fine when I talked to her and played with her, but I had no luck in getting her to come to me! We will have to work on that! I felt like we had the paparazzi following us, my sister took her camera and got a few pictures for us! Thanks Jen!

a trip to the beach...

The picture above reminds me of spring! Ryan bought me flowers yesterday! But, our reality is this:

Oh well, we live in Michigan, it's February, so we might as well enjoy it! It was beautiful, and we had fun slipping and sliding on the ice!

Here is a video of Easton "swimming!"

Please continue to pray for Lisa...

Lisa will start her radiation treatments tomorrow, (actually Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday!)
While it is a blessing that this round of radiation is only 3 treatments, each one is an hour long. An HOUR! I can't even imagine having to hold PERFECTLY still for that long, but that is exactly what she has to do. So, please pray with us for her this week, I know her appointments are in the afternoon, 2:30, I think...
I will update if I hear anything else!
Thanks!

15 years...

Wow! How did that happen? How did 15 years fly by so fast?
I must say, I would not go back to those early days for anything.
I love the man I married, but, I love the man he has become, even more!
God surely has blessed us, and we are so thankful to Him for 15 years together.
We were married in February so that we could get away to somewhere warm for our anniversaries...
Maybe, someday...
But for now, we are heading to Chicago for a few days ~ no kids!
Thanks Dad and Mom!

date nights...

We are starting to implement a parent/child date night. My mom does dates with the kids, and I am always jealous, I would love to spend time with just one kid, doing something fun! So, we decided why not?
We are taking turns and tonight, I got to take Dylan out. We went to Mc Donald's for Flurries, then, went to church and played basketball. Yes, I (sorta) played basket ball! We laughed so hard in the beginning, because in case you don't know me, I am NOT at all athletic. I used to get in trouble in gym class for screaming when the ball would come my way! If a sport involves running, competition, or makes me sweat...I don't do it! But, for lack of things to do where we live, and for the love of my child, who happens to love basketball, I played basket ball. We had so much fun, lots of laughs, and I even beat one round of PIG!

gluttony...

Tonight we celebrated the end of our beans and rice adventure with dinner out at Applebees! Everyone was excited to finally eat "good food!" When we walked in, they had a table with stuff for the kids to do, and said it was "kids night!" Yippee! All kids meals were $0.99! We all ate our fill, and then some. Little Anaya was probably the most excited this adventure was over, every time I would put the beans and rice on her plate, she would say, "Yucky mommy!" Poor baby, she ate like a horse tonight!
We figured we spent around $25.00 total last month on all of our bean and rice dinners. Tonight we spent around $25.00 on this one dinner!
*Thankfully, we had a gift card!*
